I'm BAAAACk!

Hola friends! I am home. I am so very very happy about this! I was out of clean underwear, and couldn't stomach anymore culture. However, I loved every minute, saw amazing buildings and places, and made some fantastic new friends. I am jet-lagged and still recovering...another 6 am wake up. It will take me a few days to blog about all of the things I saw and did, but I promised I would keep people updated (Better late than never!).

We left Salt Lake at 1130 Thursday, May 8th and flew into Madrid. We arrived around 9 am since they are eight hours ahead of us. This meant we had a few hours to kill until we could check into the hotel and clean up etc. We took a bus tour of the city, than wandered around the hotel. We were located near the Atocha Station, and a few minutes from plaza Madrid (i think it was plaza madrid)...big, open, famous. This is a picture of the palace in Madrid. The city was nice, but not my favorite. It took a few days to get over my jet lag, but I eventually did it (six days later). We were in Madrid for three nights and spent most of our days on side trips to cities nearby. We went to tapas bars and danced the night away at the Mona Lisa one evening (morning).
